Accountability and impact

ALIMA’s work is made possible thanks to the generous support of individual donors, private and public foundations, corporations, and institutional funders. We are committed to high-level transparency and accountability regarding the use of funds and strive to operate efficiently and to minimize fundraising and administrative costs.

Our accounts are certified annually by an independent auditor, and we are regularly audited by our donors, such as the European Commission, USAID, the French Government, and the United Nations. These audits demonstrate a very high rate of transparency of our use of funds. We are recognized as a reliable and trustworthy partner and are one of the few NGOs to adhere to the financial independence criteria of the European Union.

The use of our resources in 2018 showed more than 93% of our funds are allocated to program activities in the field and less than 7% to administrative and fundraising costs. We guarantee that the funds received have a direct impact and are allocated to where funding is most needed and most effective.
