📝 10,000: since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, 10,000 more children are dying due to malnutrition every month.
But ALIMA continues to act! Our teams are renewing their efforts to take care of children such as Bintou, who has been diagnosed with severe acute malnutrition by ALIMA's doctors.
She was very weak and we had to act quickly to save her.
✨ Thanks to specialized care and therapeutic food treatment, in just a few days we were able to save Bintou. After her admission, Bintou has already regained her strength, and her mother Maimouna found her smile again!

But ALIMA continues to act! Our teams are renewing their efforts to take care of children such as Bintou, who has been diagnosed with severe acute malnutrition by ALIMA's doctors.

Meet Dr. Ibrahim Ahmadou Dicko, a research assistant with ALIMA/AMCP-SP (Medical Alliance Against Malaria – Population Health), for the OptiMA project in Bamako, Mali 🇲🇱.
OptiMA is a research project supported by the French Development Agency (AFD - Agence Française de Développement), with the aim of optimizing the treatment of acute malnutrition in children under the age of 5.
Meet Dr. Ibrahim Ahmadou Dicko, a research assistant with ALIMA/AMCP-SP (Medical Alliance Against Malaria – Population Health), for the OptiMA project in Bamako, Mali 🇲🇱.
OptiMA is a research project supported by the French Development Agency (AFD - Agence Française de Développement), with the aim of optimizing the treatment of acute malnutrition in children under the age of 5.
📰 New Ebola outbreak in Guinea 🇬🇳: Our teams are in the field preparing our response, 5 years after the end of the 2014-2016 epidemic.
The response will be conducted in partnership with the Ministry of Health and the Guinean National Health Security Agency (Agence Nationale de Sécurité Sanitaire-ANSS), with whom ALIMA is already working as part of the response to COVID-19.

"It is by providing early care that we will save lives, as there are now treatments available that can cure the virus".
